Rose quartz is a type of quartz which exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue. The color is usually considered as due to trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese, in the material.
My current batches of beads are pale pink, and the 12mm are very pale. To show you that they are indeed pink they have been photographed against a contrasting blue background. The photo of the ones in my hand (which isn't such a contrasting colour) shows them to appear less pink even though they are the same earrings. The 'cloudiness' of the beads also varies slightly from pair to pair.
Rose Quartz is considered by some to be a therapeutic stone. Wearing it, meditating with it, as well as keeping it near, is believed to open the heart up to all kinds of love: romantic love, love of family, love of friends, and love of self.
