Keshi pearls are natural pearls which have formed without a nucleus.
Because there is no nucleus for the pearl to form around they come out looking a bit squashed and bumpy. No artificial nucleus does however mean that they end up being 100% pearl nacre, so they more than make up for their irregular 'deflated' shapes with their superb lustre and iridescence. They really are quite special.
